Join Us at 📍Haya Pool located in Ybor City, on the infamous 7th Ave for low impact pool exercise.

Accommodations

All equipment for the class will be provided. Please bring your own towels. We will have access to the hotel’s pool restrooms. MUST BE CLEARED TO EXERCISE BY YOUR OBGYN. Must be 18yrs old and up to attend. 

Enjoy brunch at 📍Flor Fina directly after class ends. This will be an opportunity to ask questions about services, prices and upcoming events.

Motherhood Matters: Black Maternal Health

You do not want to miss this one of a kind event by presented by members of Museum of Motherhood’s Health, Wellness and Education Committee. MOM has partnered with FloridaRama to host this conference to raise awareness to the state of Black Maternal Health in the United States and Tampa bay. This is a fundraising event and the proceeds will go to MOM’s Health, Wellness and Education Committee for future community projects. Tickets include brunch, an art viewing featuring thee Sara Hunter, an award winning photographer and other local artists, as well as a Black Maternal Health presentation by local maternal health advocates and healthcare professionals. Attendees will also have the opportunity to create their own art, all supplies will be provided.

Get to Know the Speakers

Tracie Williams- Owner of The Natal Network, founder of Jehovah Rapha-Jireh Transformation Health Inc, nursing career spanning 16 years, and mother of two will be delivering an overview of the research based statistics and highlighting key health concerns for black maternal wellness. 

Tracy Cook Person- The Southern Alchemy Wellness creator, Doula, alchemist, published poet, professor, holds two MS degrees in Forensic Psychology and Leadership and Policy will grace us with the Herstory of “Grand Midwives”.

Shamella Joy- An experienced trauma therapist, owner of Embracing Joy a perinatal therapist will be giving us the reason why trauma informed care care is crucial in black maternal health

Courtney West- A proud St.Petersburg native, owner of 3Gems Birth Service, nurse, mom, full throttle advocate, and pain management specialist will be delivering a Call to Action
